The Gifting Forward Initiative
Helping people access support when they need it most.
The Gifting Forward Initiative was created by The Fifth Man (The V Man) to fund therapeutic support and mental health workshops for people experiencing a difficult time.
A proportion of the donations generated through purchases from The Fifth Man helps fund the initiative.
What support is available?
Successful applicants may be offered either:
One-to-one therapeutic support, or
A mental health workshop.
The support offered will depend on the programme’s eligibility criteria and the applicant’s individual circumstances.
How to apply
You can apply for yourself, or a friend, family member or colleague can make a referral.
To apply, submit an
Expression of Interest of no more than 200 words to JuRoSo Therapy, explaining why you, or the person you are referring would benefit from support.
How applications are considered
An independent panel meets every six weeks to review applications against the programme’s eligibility criteria.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome by email or text message, including whether they have been offered support and the next steps.
Submitting an application does not guarantee an offer of support. Self-referrals and referrals made by others are considered through the same process.
A chance to be heard
Asking for support can feel difficult. The Gifting Forward Initiative aims to make that first step more approachable and turn generosity into practical support for people who need it.
